My Key Issues

Transportation

I’m concerned that our current public transportation options leave too many people in District 99 stranded, limiting access to jobs, school, healthcare, and basic services. We need a more robust, reliable transit system with expanded routes and consistent scheduling so families in Mobile, Prichard, Semmes, and across Mobile County can move freely and thrive.

Government Transparency

I’m concerned that too many decisions are being made behind closed doors, leaving everyday residents feeling ignored and out of the loop. We need genuine government transparency and community-driven decision-making, characterized by clear communication and consistent opportunities for neighbors to weigh in before choices are finalized.

Housing

I’m concerned that too many families in District 99 are stuck paying rent that feels like a mortgage but never builds equity, keeping folks trapped in a cycle with nothing to show for it. We need real paths to homeownership, from down-payment support to fair lending and first-time buyer programs, so people can build generational wealth and stability right here at home.

Education

In House District 99, education should not depend on your ZIP code. I’m fighting for stronger neighborhood schools, real workforce pathways, and a system that treats parents like partners, not spectators.

Veterans

Veterans should have access to services that reflect both their service and their outcomes. While all veterans deserve respect and baseline support, not all veterans face the same barriers after service. A fair system recognizes that some veterans need additional justice-oriented support beyond standard benefits due to factors like service-connected disability, combat exposure, military sexual trauma, traumatic brain injury, chronic health conditions, or administrative inequities that have delayed care and compensation.

Healthcare

Healthcare should be affordable, easy to access, and built around real life, especially for seniors living on fixed incomes and working families trying to do the right thing.
